Now going into its 37th year, InterTabac, held annually in Dortmund, Germany goes from strength to strength as the world’s leading exhibition for tobacco wholesalers, distributors, and retailers. In 2014 InterTabac’s 500 exhibitors from 50 countries presented the widest and largest display of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes/liquids) and accessories exhibited anywhere to over 12,000 trade visitors.
In 2015, the exhibition expands further introducing the accompanying InterSupply, exhibition for tobacco manufacturing with all the equipment, machinery, supplies and services required to bring tobacco products to the marketplace. The organizers Messe Westfalenhallen have opened a new – and largest – hall to accommodate this new expo.
Although everyone expects perennial exhibitors such as Philip Morris, British American Tobacco Reemstma (Imperial), Agio, Arnold Andre, Dannemann, to support InterTabac some may be surprised at the growing support this show in Europe not gets from Asia and the Middle East.
Highlighted in this article are some of the companies participating in InterTabac and InterSupply 2015 from these regions:
Indonesia
Djarum, founded in 1951 in Kudus, Indonesia, is the leading global kretek supplier providing consistently high quality range of products. Availably on international market since 1972, Djarum products continue their advance with loyal customers on many regions including the United States and Europe. Products include Djarum Black series of products and LA Menthol Lights.
NV STTC (Sumatra Tobacco Trading Co) is a fully 100% export trade company producing its own line of cigarette brands, popular in Asia and now gaining markets globally. Products include Jet and Hero.
China
There are literally too many exhibitors from China to mention in this short article, as China supplies the greatest number of exhibitors to InterTabac and InterSupply second only to InterTabac’s home country of Germany.
InterTabac boasts three of China’s four cigar manufacturers and has for some years now. China Tobacco Chuanyu TIC has the largest cigar production based in Asia boasting its now famous Great Wall brand. China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Corp has made many investments in factories, cooperation in the past years and its brands are coming more well knows, such as Yellow Crane Tower 1916, a hand rolled luxury cigar product. And from Shandong, believed to be the origin of Oriental cigars, having opened the first cigar factory in China in 1903 comes China Tobacco Shandong Industrial Corp and is famous for its General line of cigar products.
Of course when it comes to e-cigarettes and e-liquids, China and Shenzhen City in particular is the well-known epicenter of this products shockwaves going out through the tobacco industry. Again, too many to mention but the leading e-cigarette suppliers are present as usual, including China First Union, ALD, Kimree, Kamry, Smok, Smoore, Sailing, Moore Brothers, and others.
The quality e-liquids suppliers are there too such as Dekang, the leading high-tech manufacturer and sales of raw materials and plant extracts of pharmaceutical grade including e-liquids and shisha products. Other major e-liquids suppliers from China at the show including Hangsen, and Feellife.
The Rolling Paper Company produces and markets tobacco rolling papers to satisfied clients globally and offers a no risk starter pack of 1,000 booklets for market testing. Moon Shanghai, another supplier of cigarette papers from China will also participating at InterTabac for the first time in 2015.
A few other exhibitors from China at InterSupply include: O-Net Automation, supplying e-cigarette manufacturing machinery; Qingdao Leigh Mardon Packaging Co, producing tobacco packaging; Shanghai MinSun Printing Packaging Co Ltd, supplying security, holographic printing solutions for tobacco manufacturers.
Hong Kong
Vaporite has become the largest selling brand of vaporizers in the world, manufacturing since 2007 and their presence at InterTabac increases in size every year.
Star Tobacco and TSAL with headquarters in Hong Kong grace the premier of InterSupply with their presence. Star Tobacco is a global supplier of leaf tobacco products with offices around the world they are we are able to provide customer satisfaction wherever the tobacco origin may be.
United Arab Emirates
From this region are mainly suppliers of shisha/hookah, molasses tobacco, and accessories including Layalina Tobacco, Al Fakher, and Daw Al Qamar. But other suppliers such as Bin Khumery with dhoka and medwakhs,
Kaane American International Tobacco Co Ltd, the largest cigarette manufacturer in Dubai returns to InterTabac with its brands Sir and Gold Mount. Adam Trading is another supplier of cigarettes from Dubai exhibiting at InterTabac.
Armenia
Grand Tabak, at InterTabac 2015 will exhibit their full range of cigarette formats. They will be exhibiting with International Masis Tabak, a modern tobacco processing and cigarette manufacturing plant in Armenia
Jordan
Al Andalus returns to InterTabac 2015 and is a leading tobacco molasses manufacturer in Jordan. Also from Jordan is Al Zawrae also supplying molasses tobacco.
Japan
Sarome Tokyo, a supplier of lighters, cigarette cases and other smoker’s accessories again returns to InterTabac. Also from Japan is Lightec supplier of lighters.
India
India’s contribution to InterTabac is largely suppliers of smoker’s accessories and other tobacco products. In no particular order are XL Enterprises, with cigar cases, humidors, pipe tobacco pipes, and smoking accessories; AV Enterprises, supplying cigars pipes, and Miraj Products, is widely known for manufacturing, exporting and supplying of smokeless tobacco and plastic pipes.
The government agency Tobacco Board of India supports the debut of InterSupply with its presence, where is will exhibit the quality tobacco of industry from a range of exporters and also a range of tobacco products. InterTabac/InterSupply in 2015 will have a combined 550 exhibitors with over 13,000 totally trade visitors and is not to be missed, either as a visitor or exhibitor.
