Bobst’s two web-fed lines Lemanic Delta (for medium to high volumes) and Lemanic Riviera ILS (for high volumes with maximum automation) cover the needs of any printer and converter, making the most out of gravure brilliance for persistent color and print quality consistency and repeatability. Minimal color variation from start to finish is achieved through the models’ unmatched inking technology. Quick and effortless changeover with the ingenious P-Cart printing cart concept reduces maintenance requirements. Flexibility in ink choice – from metallic to fluorescent and anything in-between - offers a cost saving alternative to hot foil stamping. Refined drying technology and superior drying capability of various ink types prevent compromising speed and substrate flexibility pre-treatment improves printability on a wide variety of card boards or laminates. Easy access inside the dryer affords quick and safe cleaning and the two lines are easily adapted, ensuring consistent production speed and maximizing machine up-time. Continuous process control is achieved through the integrated Bobst Registron S 6100, an in-line register control for in-setting of pre-treated materials, both print-to-print and print-to-converting. Meanwhile, web tension control (and 100% in-line quality control) is handled by the Bobst Registron iQ 400.
Komori Chambon’s GR series gravure presses are widely used in the packaging printing industry. One of the best-selling machines in the series is the the GRS 830 Mark I, a servo-driven gravure press dedicated to the production of tobacco packaging. Several such lines are currently installed in Asia. Its web flow is from right to left (the printed side either up or down) and an adjustable web width of 335 and 670mm. The print width is 650mm and a repeat range of 400 to mm. Suited for a wide range of substrates from paper to plain or laminated paper board, it is capable of delivering a printing production speed of up to 250m per minute.
