He Zehua, a former deputy chairman of China's State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA), is under investigation for alleged serious infractions of Party discipline and legislation, reports Xinhua.
According to China Daily, He, a former member of the Leading Party Members' Group, is currently the subject of a supervisory inquiry and disciplinary review by China’s top anti-graft watchdogs, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and National Supervision Commission (NCS), nearly nine years after his retirement.
He worked in Jiangsu province in East China for many years. From 2000 to 2003, he held the position of secretary for the Leading Party Members' Group of the Anhui Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Bureau. In July 2003, He was appointed STMA’s deputy director and served till he retired from his position in 2014.
