A complete Nano-C production line
MANUFACTURING NEWS
The recently introduced cigar maker Nano-C is the latest member in Decouflé’s Nano family comprising already various makers for cigarettes (the Nano-5/6/7/8/9/10 – the number stands for the speed x 1000), filter tubes (Nano-T), and plain cigarettes (Nano-P) – all these are proven members and have already been sold over 80 times.
All makers of the Nano family use the same tried-and-trusted Nano platform technology for all applications and have a high level of standardization ratio. In addition, all Nano makers are compatible with a big number of Hauni and Decouflé units, e. g. existing logistic solutions such as tray fillers or Filtromat filter shooters. They also have the same human-machine interface structure, menus, and pages, allowing for easy and economic training.
Having experience with different types of cigar tobaccos like threshed or expanded tobaccos Decouflé has been delivering cigarillo makers for more than 20 years.
“With the launch of the Nano-C Decouflé is setting again new benchmarks using the established Nano platform,” said Decouflé’s Siegmar Weiss , responsible for cigar machinery in the Decouflé sales team. “The new Nano-C is producing double length cigarillos with or without double length filters inserted in KS diameter and up to 210mm total length. Separate drives for filter assembler and rod unit increase availability, permit to recover the cigars after every stop and reduce the costs for maintenance. Modern technology and technical know-how set the Nano-C apart from other machinery in the market not only in terms of low maintenance but also of speed. With the Nano-C we reach production speeds up to 300 m/min. or more than 4 300 cigarillos/min in KS format which is considerably higher than any other cigar maker on the market.”
Not to be underestimated is the operator friendly use: the unique and clear touch screen allows operators to use the Nano-C efficiently within a few days. The learning curve is short: efficiency and output are climbing up quickly.
As a new generation of cigar makers the Nano-C easily finds its place in every factory due to its reduced footprint and its space saving integrated electrical cabinet. Another advantage for the customer are reduced maintenance costs as the Nano-C contains up to six servo drives instead of gears and belts which are still used in other cigar makers on the market. In comparison to the standard systems usually used in the cigar industry the advanced PLC system of the Nano-C is also cost saving due to lower maintenance costs.
With the first Nano-C cigar makers installed and in operation Decouflé has opened a new chapter in cigar making pushing ahead automation degree and output of the already very performing former machines.
