China’s State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA) announced more e-cigarette regulations, now stipulating that the capacity of e-cigarette products, aerosol, and nicotine used in e-cigarettes carried by each person at each time will be limited, Global Times reports.
Under the new rule, an individual may not carry more than six smoking devices in different places at a time. Also, the maximum number of e-cigarette cartridges is 90; the maximum number of products including disposable e-cigarettes sold in combination of e-cigarette cartridge and cigarette devices is 90; and the maximum amount of e-atomization materials such as liquids and nicotine used in e-cigarettes is 180 milliliters.
In addition, STMA and the State Post Bureau (SPB) jointly issued a regulation on the limited delivery of e-cigarette products, e-atomization material, and nicotine for e-cigarettes. Now, the delivery amount of e-cigarette products per shipment is no more than two sets; six e-cigarette cartridges or a cartridge combined with cigarette devices, including disposable e-cigarettes, with a total liquid volume of no more than 12 milliliters. And, aerosols such as liquids and nicotine for e-cigarettes cannot exceed 12 milliliters per piece. Also, delivery of smoking sets, e-cigarette cartridges, products sold in combination with a cigarette cartridge, e-atomization material, and nicotine for e-cigarettes shall be limited to one unit per person per day.
